I just thought I would start up a topic to congratulate all those that won awards in this years Countryman Gun Club Clay Pigeon Awards! I've tried my hand at clay pigeon shooting a couple of time, and believe me, it's tough! I don't know how they do it. I also heard someone straighted the skeet in 2009 for the first time at the countryman. Is that true?

Congratulations to all! Good luck for this year! Yes, it was straighted. It was Anthony Adsett (the one who won the most awards funnily enough!) who straighted it. It's the first time anyone's ever done it! He was given a specially made T-Shirt to honour the occasion

Yes, congrats lads! Keep up the good work! It's a tough sport. It's a shame more people don't know about it.

Congratulations to everyone who won, and well done to everyone who took part! Is this the kind of thing you can just go watch, or is it club members only? It sounds quite exciting!

Congratulations to all! Yes, it's something you can go along to just to watch. It's not obvious that a competition is going on, but I think that makes it more interesting. It just looks like a group of people going round separately to each stand to shoot, but at the end of the morning you can find out who won that day.
